Description
The Earth & Sky 2 in 1 Exploration Globe is a 10-inch illuminated kids desktop globe featuring a political world view (off) & night sky view (on). Kids will love the dual map cartography featured on this globe! When the globe is illuminated see 100's of night time stars and illustrated and labeled constellations shown on the globe, and when not illuminated see up-to-date political locations, boarders and geographic points of reference.

This globe includes a sturdy acrylic base and numbered semi-meridian indicating number of degrees north or south of the equator a point of interest is located. Excellent globe for kids room with clear easy to read cartography. Also makes a great night light! The cord exits globe at attachment between globe and meridian at the south pole and includes an inline switch to easily turn globe on and off. Easy to change light bulb (instructions included).

Overall assembled size is 14"h x 10.5"w x 10"d. Intended for ages 3+.

My 12 year old daughter was so excited to open this globe for Christmas! She assembled it and had it plugged in and illuminated before the wrapping paper hit the ground. The whole family enjoys scouring the political maps for countries and faraway adventures, and then at night dreams of constellations.

I am very happy with the 2 in 1 globe that I purchased for my 4 year old grandson. I do think there might be fewer constellations indicated, perhaps just the most familiar ones to keep it simpler as the indication was that the globe is suitable for ages 3+.
The price of $49 is a bit high, I think.
But in general it's a fine product.
