Usonian Globe

The Usonian Globe is a 12-inch Diameter decorative desk globe with bronze metallic oceans and a raised relief surface and a semi-meridian mounting.

The hardwood base for the Usonian Globe adapted from one of several furniture designs done in the forties by Frank Lloyd Wright. Its believed that he was working on designs for either the Usonian homes designed about that time or for his own homes, Taliesin and Taliesin West. As there are no specific notations on the drawings, likely, they had not been assigned to any particular project.

The metallic color pallet of the political map with champaign-colored oceans complement the color and design of the inspired base, and the raised relief surface provides slightly visible elevation to many mountains and mountain ranges around the globe.
