Nice but flawed

The sections of printed material that make up the surface of the globe have several places where they do not line up exactly. Some instances of this are as far off as an eighth of an inch, which does not sound like a lot but on a globe like this where the information is pretty crowded, it makes a difference. Otherwise, the mechanical construction is good and the level of detail is good.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

For globes made using the press-forming method, the process begins with a flat map that is die-cut and then pressed into each hemisphere. Due to the nature of this manufacturing style, slight variances can occur where the sections of the map meet. These minor misalignments are within the manufacturer’s tolerance and are common across globes produced using this method.

We understand that accuracy is important, and we strive to offer products that balance craftsmanship with detailed cartography.
